How do you create an Islamic will online?

How do you create an Islamic will online?

Getting started is easy. Click on “let’s begin” and answer 5 simple questions to ensure you’re eligible.

Next, sign up and let our intuitive portal take you through the rest of your journey. This should take you no longer than 20 minutes.

Your answers are automatically saved so you can return to the Islamic will portal at any time. However, if you want to complete your Islamic will in one sitting, you can start by giving some thought to:

  • The full names, addresses, date of birth and email addresses of your executors/trustees and guardians. Executors/trustees carry out the instructions in your will and, if applicable, guardians are chosen to take care of your children (if they’re under 18)
  • Deciding whether you want to leave some money to a charity, friends or relatives who wouldn’t normally inherit from you.
  • Thinking about any messages you would like to leave for your loved ones including funeral wishes.

Upon completing all the required steps in the portal, you’ll be able to preview your Islamic will before you pay. Once your will is submitted for expert checking, our in-house solicitor will check your will, taking on up to 7 days.

We’ll also calculate the share of wealth each of your family member inherits, according to the guidelines set out in the Qur’an and Sunnah. Note, we don’t need to know the amount of money you have to calculate this.

Once your will is approved, will be notified via email. Simply log back in your portal, download, print and sign your will in front of two witnesses to make it legally binding.

Life can change in a moment, so we make it easy for you to update your Islamic will via your portal. Whether you move homes or are expecting a child, you can make changes to your Islamic will for free anytime in the first year. After that, it’s just £20 per year for unlimited changes opting in or out at any time throughout your lifetime.
